I use my longer tech socks for fire-fighting and the shorter ones for when I'm running or hiking the trails in the area.
One of the most amazing things about Tech Sox is the comfort they provide. I find that other socks I've worn sometimes
provide little to no support or comfort… but with Tech Socks I'm not getting the blisters or irritation that can
often occur when out on a long call or hike.
I couldn't believe after wearing the socks for hours straight that there was no odor! There is something in the fibers
and the way the sock was made that virtually keeps the sock from smelling even if you have to wear the sock for long
periods of time!
I have been on structure fires without Tech Sox and have had blisters form from hours of irritation to my heel or ankles.
Now that I use Tech Sox there have had been no blisters since that time! I now keep an extra pair with my bunker gear!
When I was on an adventure reality show called Mantracker I was teamed up with another 'prey' and we had to evade a
professional Tracker who works for the RCMP in the remote areas of Northern Ontario. We had had to overcome all kinds of
terrain from steep cliffs and mountains to lakes and marshland. The socks provided me with additional ankle support and
comfort while keeping my feet dry and less irritated from rubbing. They are quick drying and virtually odorless.
Tech Socks will be on my lists of things to take with me on any call, camping or hiking trip!
